The route was mapped following regular highways (a 4WD vehicle is not a must).  Also, the chosen route allows the travelers to reach places of high cultural and historic value; as well as those related to the bicentenary of others countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela.
-
The trip includes some of the Biosphere Reserves and World Heritage sites designated by the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) . The trip,  actually,  ends in the Cabo de Hornos Biosphere Reserve in the south of Chile.
-
Part of the route meets the Qhapaq Ñan - Royal Trail, which was the crux of the Inca roads network built to communicate and integrate the vast Inca Empire. It is considered the most important technologic work of the prehispanic America. Its length is approximately 6000 km (3730 miles). The roads network includes areas close to Pasto (Colombia) and some areas in Ecuador. It branches into Peru Bolivia and towards the border between the “Picunches” and the “Mapuches” (native people) in the central and southern Chile; finally it reaches the “land of the Huarpes” in Argentina.
-
-During the last stage of the trip we will travel along Chile from the very north to the austral (most southern) border.

We want everybody to join this great Chilean festivity!
-
The distance to be covered everyday will be planned on what is more comfortable for the group (the idea is to enjoy the trip, right?) and on the time needed to explore each country’s wonders. Some days will be of complete stop (0 km) in order to rest, to do some deeper exploration (and maybe shopping) or to do repair or maintenance of the vehicles if needed.
-
Who can participate in this journey? Anyone! You alone, you and a friend, you and some friends or you and your family, anyone!

- We encourage you to join us in this unique on-hands opportunity to know what America is (the USA is only part of it). Our great territory called America has amazing geography and nature, interesting history, and very friendly people.

You may want to start exploring this site. You will find more information about the trip, maps, videos, music , links to weather forecasts and links to local sites from each one of the countries included in the route.
